About Me
Shea Stevens (she/her)
I have a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas, a CACREP accredited counseling program. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Ayesha Lakhani, LPC-S. My education is in adult clinical mental health counseling.
I practice humanistic, existential, relational talk therapy. I see my role as a facilitator and catalyst for change through curiosity and compassion. Clients who are seeking to grow in self-awareness and self-acceptance will be good fits.
I am an introvert and an old soul. I enjoy gardens, good food, and watching movies. I have personal experience with faith transition, having left the Catholic church and having changed my religious views, and I am an HSP (highly sensitive person).
What to Expect:
The first session will begin by conducting an intake of the client’s history. After intake we can clarify what areas we will focus on, and clients will be given freedom to choose where they want to start each day’s session.
Noticing what comes up for you in the moment during session helps give us an important direction to explore, and it helps clients practice self-awareness and self-trust.
Self-awareness is key, because ultimately no one knows what you need better than you do, and you are the one who puts your growth into practice in your daily life.
Growth and healing are about more than worksheets; it’s about how we live and make decisions in each present moment. It is a step-by-step process to reach deeper integration.
